NFL Rumors: NFC Team To Pursue Mitchell Trubisky

According to Tony Pauline, the New York Giants are expected to pursue Mitchell Trubisky once he hits the free-agency market.

Trubisky spent this season on the Buffalo Bills as backup to Josh Allen. On the campaign, he only had eight passing attempts and six of them were completed. With that, he also threw an interception. It obviously wasn't a year to remember for the 27-year-old, but he will now be looking to land a starting job elsewhere.

Although the Giants have Daniel Jones as their current starter, they are looking to create some competition for the role. Trubisky could certainly be an interesting option to give them that, as he did have some strong moments as the starter of the Chicago Bears. In 2018, he was named to the Pro Bowl after having an 11-3 record as their starter. With that, he had an impressive 24 touchdowns.

Whether it is Trubisky or somebody else, it seems clear that the Giants will be adding another QB of some kind before the offseason is completed. Let's see what comes to fruition.
