NFL Rumors: Raiders And Star Talking Extension

According to Vic Tafur of The Athletic, the Las Vegas Raiders and Maxx Crosby are having extension talks. With that, he also noted that they are going very well.

Tafur stated that the specific details of the extension have not been determined, but that Crosby would become one of the highest-paid defensive ends in the entire sport. Needless to say, it appears that we are about to see 24-year-old land himself a monstrous payday.

Crosby was selected by the Raiders with the 106th overall pick of the 2019 NFL Draft. It's pretty apparent that he has turned out to be a marvelous selection for them, as he has exceeded the expectations of a mid-round pick immensely. In 49 games with the Raiders thus far, he has 142 combined tackles to go along with 25.0 sacks. With that, he was named to his first Pro Bowl this year and was also a Second-team All-Pro.

With all of this, it's fair to say that Las Vegas would love to keep Crosby around as long as possible. Let's see if an extension is finalized shortly.
