NFL Rumors: Texans Wide Receiver Gaining Trade Interest

According to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, several teams have called the Houston Texans about the availability of Brandin Cooks since the offseason began.

At this juncture, there hasn't been confirmation that the Texans are willing to move on from Cooks. Yet, if another team sends them the right offer, it would be surprising to see them pass up on it. Houston is coming off of a 4-12 season, so naturally, it is understandable that opponents are viewing them as potential sellers.

Teams in need of an upgrade at the wide receiver position would certainly jump into the Cooks sweepstakes if they officially begin. The eight-year veteran has been a consistent threat since entering the league, and he isn't showing signs of slowing down. In 16 games last season, he had six touchdowns, a career-high 90 receptions, and 1,037 yards.

Nevertheless, it will be intriguing to see how much the Texans entertain these offers from other teams from here.
