NFL Rumors: Recent Eagles Trade Suggested By QB Jalen Hurts

When you know, you know and Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts knew. Word is the young QB went to Eagles management about making a splash to acquire wide receiver A.J Brown from the Tennessee Titans and it's obvious they felt it was a great idea as the deal is done.

Brown met with the media in Philly earlier this week and thanked his good friend Hurts for putting the bug into the Eagles ear to get the ball rolling on a move. The 24-year-old Brown mentioned his friendship with Hurts began when the QB tried to recruit Brown to Alabama, meanwhile he had already decided to head to Ole Miss. An offseason workout transpired recently and those same sparks flew, resulting in a huge addition for the Eagles. Brown had this to say on the matter:

In the middle of the throwing session, Jalen said he's going to ask (the Eagles) to trade for me, and we were just laughing and joking. We had no idea that this would happen. I see a guy who is talented, believes in himself, has a strong arm, he's on time. I think the sky's the limit for him. I'm going to go to bat for him every Sunday. I appreciate the Titans for everything they did for me. I have no bad blood with the Titans. They believed in me. They drafted me. They got my career started.

Brown signed a four-year $100-million extension with the Eagles shortly after the trade went down, which includes $57 million in guaranteed coin. Sounds like Hurts will be enjoying a free meal sometime very soon.
