NFL Rumors: Latest on Rams QB Matthew Stafford's Injury

Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford doesn't seem to concerned about his elbow injury and has recently shrugged off some questions concerning his health. The veteran QB doesn't feel it will be an issue at all this season and even was quite impressive during Saturday's practice.

Stafford spoke to Sarah Barshop of ESPN and had this to say about his elbow injury:

We got a great plan. I'm feeling stronger every time I come out here and throw. I don't know if you guys were watching. It felt like I could make any throw I wanted to today. And just trying to be smart when I get those opportunities to make sure I can come out here, cut it loose (and) turn it loose like I did today.

Recently Stafford felt some discomfort and the team gave him an anti-inflammatory injection to essentially mask the pain and hopefully keep the elbow from swelling up. The Rams QB described the injury like tennis elbow or golf elbow, basically some bad tendinitis.

The Rams don't seem too concerned about it at all after seeing Stafford sling balls during the weekend practices. Coach Sean McVay even mentioned he's going to be sleeping better at night now after quite the scare earlier in training camp.
