Philadelphia Eagles Sign Safety to Practice Squad

The Philadelphia Eagles are bringing back a former star at the safety position. Zach Berman of the Athletic shared that Anthony Harris was signed to the team's practice squad:
Harris returns to the team after being somewhat of a surprise cut Tuesday afternoon. The former Pro Football Focus All-Pro started 14 games for the Eagles last year but is probably best remembered for leading the league in interceptions with the 2019 Minnesota Vikings.

The Eagles recently traded for former New Orleans Saint Chauncy Gardner-Johnson with the intention of playing him at safety, so the Eagles are hoping a new look in the defensive backfield can help them improve on a defense that allowed the 18th fewest points in the league last year. Should Gardner-Johnson struggle in his new role, Harris will be readily available to offer a steadying presence.
