Steelers Star Receiver Leaves Preseason Finale With Injury

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Diontae Johnson was forced to leave Sunday's preseason finale with a shoulder injury.

Johnson caught a 38-yard deep ball and landed awkwardly on his shoulder. The Steelers removed him from the game very quickly, which is not usually a good sign, however, Johnson did leave the game under his own power.

Perhaps, because it's a preseason game the Steelers are exercising extra caution in protecting their star players. Regardless, Johnson has two weeks to get healthy before the team's Week 1 opener against the Cincinnati Bengals.

The good news, is that head coach Mike Tomlin said that Diontae Johnson would potentially be back in the game if it was the regular season. He was not overly concerned with the injury.

This coming week should tell us more about the severity of Johnson's injury.
