Bills Safety Not Expected To Play Vs. Miami

The Buffalo Bills have only just this week announced that their Pro Bowl safety Micah Hyde has gone on season ending Injured Reserve, and today, it appears that the team will lose their other starting safety, at least for this week in their undefeated divisional showdown against the Miami Dolphins. Jordan Poyer has been questionable with a foot injury, and per reports, it appears that he will join Hyde, Ed Oliver and Jordan Phillips as Bills defensive starters who won't be available in Week 3.

There's a chance that with so much offensive talent and good depth on the defensive side of the ball that they can compete with the red-hot Miami Dolphins and their explosive offence, but right now, the Dolphins have to now be considered favourites heading into the game.

Both teams are 2-0 to start the season, with 4 impressive wins among them, and as one team looks to solidify their place at the top of the AFC East now that the Patriots are no longer the dominant force, it appears that whoever finishes this game the healthiest could be the team coming out on top. Poyer has been fantastic since joining the Bills, and while it's not clear how serious the injury is, it's going to at least keep him out of one game, which shouldn't hurt Buffalo's chase for a Super Bowl too much.
