Buccaneers Star Receiver Takes Another Step Towards Being Ready For Week 1

In Week 15 of the 2021 NFL season, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers lost their star wide receiver Chris Godwin to an ACL injury, and after making strides over the past week to be ready for the 2022 season opener, there's another positive update for Buccaneers fans. After shedding his knee brace earlier this week, Tampa fans were getting their hopes up that Mike Evans would get his running mate back, today, Godwin was listed as a full participant in practice for the first time since the injury.

Head Coach Todd Bowles wouldn't go as far as to say that Godwin would be back to begin the 2022 campaign, and the chase for the second Super Bowl in the Tom Brady era, all the signs certainly point to him at least having a chance to be ready. In 5 seasons with the Buccaneers, Godwin has put up 4,643 receiving yards and 29 Touchdown's, and with Tom Brady returning for yet another season, when he gets healthy, he'll no doubt be one of the top targets as the GOAT chases another Super Bowl ring.

Ultimately, Godwin is trending towards playing very early in the 2022 season, and even if he can't be back for Week 1, it's very likely that we will see the Buccaneers offensive skill group at full strength very, very soon.
