Buffalo Bills Sign Offensive Lineman

The Buffalo Bills have added some veteran help up front following their heartbreaking defeat at the hands of the Miami Dolphins. The team announced the signing of offensive lineman Justin Murray Tuesday afternoon:

The move comes with a corresponding trip to injured reserve for tackle Tommy Doyle. The Bills had an inconsistent performance on offense in Week 3, allowing four sacks and scoring a middling 19 points. Improved depth along the offensive line could go a long way toward stabilizing the unit ahead of a huge Week 4 matchup with the Baltimore Ravens.

Murray joins the Bills following a three-year stint with the Arizona Cardinals in which he made 20 starts. The offensive lineman first latched on in the league in 2018 for the then Oakland Raiders, making two appearances. Murray has proven a versatile blocker in his journeyman career, notching snaps at guard and tackle, but he'll likely only see the field if a Bills starter misses time.
