Los Angeles Rams Sign Familiar Face at Running Back

The Los Angeles Rams are looking to fix their problems in the run game by bringing back a known quantity. The Athletic's Jourdan Rodrigue shared that the team has signed running back Malcolm Brown: Brown returns to the Rams after a one-year stop with the Miami Dolphins in 2021. Before that, Brown had spent six years with the Rams, dating all the way back to the team's days in St. Louis. He'll provide another option behind Darrell Henderson and Cam Akers in a Rams rushing attack that struggled so far this season, averaging a league-worst 2.7 yards per carry.

Brown initially joined the Rams as an undrafted free agent in 2015 following four years at the University of Texas. He stuck around as a special teams contributor and change-of-pace back, compiling 1515 yards from scrimmage and 12 touchdowns in his 70 appearances for the team. He had arguably his best year in 2020, setting career highs in yards from scrimmage with 581 and total touchdowns with five.
