New Orleans Saints Safety Arrested This Morning

Marcus Maye, a former second-round pick by the New York Jets signed with the New Orleans Saints this off-season, and while he's never been a huge name, he had been a solid player for the Jets since 2017, and serves as a leader. That's what the Saints hoped they were getting when they signed Maye to replace the outgoing Marcus Williams, but today, it appears that the Florida native has been arrested for aggravated assault with a firearm.

At this point, it's not clear exactly what happened, but Nick Underhill, a Saints reporter broke the news, and it's safe to say that after the issues with Alvin Kamara, this was the last thing that New Orleans needed.

We will have more as the details come through, but over the last 2 days, the Saints secondary has suffered an injury (Paulson Adebo ankle sprain), a trade (CJ Gardner-Johnson), and now this, so it's not been a very good week down in New Orleans.
