New York Jets Head Coach Gives Update On Zach Wilson

Just a few weeks ago, New York Jets fans thought they were living their worst case scenario with this team, as Zach Wilson went down with what many thought was an ACL tear, but in a rare piece of good news for the organization, No. 2 was cleared of any serious injury. Although the injury turned out to be one that would require 4-6 weeks of recovery, many thought there was a possibility of Wilson playing in Week 1, and after some positive updates, Head Coach Robert Saleh today provided an update on that possibility.

Speaking on The Michael Kay Show, Saleh said that Wilson had another good day today, and if he is 100% by tomorrow and is cleared for Sunday's action by doctors, he will be the starter for the Jets at home as they take on the Baltimore Ravens for Week 1. This Jets team is full of young, hungry, talented players that want to make an impact at the NFL level, and if Wilson can come back and fulfil the ample promise he's shown in practice and in year 1, this could be a very fun team to watch.

If Wilson can't be ready for Week 1 and the Jets decide to hold him out for their Week 2 matchup against the Cleveland Browns, they've got veteran Joe Flacco to step in, so either way, if the rest of the Jets squad can be at their best to kick-off the 2022 season, this could be a major upset alert to start the year.
