Patriots Sign Former Dolphins Wide Receiver To Practice Squad

The New England Patriots step into the 2022 season with plenty of doubters, and when you look around this offence, it's easy to see why, as the team has considerably less weapons around them then we've seen in previous years. Knowing Bill Belichik and his history, it's hard to completely doubt the team, but right now, it's obvious that they need plenty of help if they are to allow Mac Jones to thrive as the starter going forward.

While there's a few weapons out there, the Patriots don't seem interested in adding top name wide receivers, and instead, the team has added a special teamer and former Miami Dolphin, Lynn Bowden, who has electric potential, but hasn't come close to realizing it yet. If there's one coach in the league that can get the best out of him, it's arguably the best coach in the NFL, who consistently gets good performances out of his weapons.

Bowden has been signed to the practice squad, but if he can impress there and make his way to significant minutes at the NFL, he may never become a star, but with Mac Jones needing some receivers, he could play a big role in 2022 if he can play to his potential.
