Pittsburgh Steelers Will Honour Late QB In 2022

The Pittsburgh Steelers have a key year ahead of them, and after Mitchell Trubisky won the QB battle with rookie Kenny Pickett and was named the starter, they seem to be prepared to make a huge run at an AFC North title, despite significant competition from Baltimore, Cincinnati and Cleveland. However, their off-season started with absolute tragedy, as newly signed Quarterback Dwayne Haskins was killed in an unfortunate accident while jogging.

He may not have been with Pittsburgh long, but he made an impact on the team and the community, as they have decided to honour his memory in 2022 by wearing a sticker with the number 3 on their helmet throughout the upcoming season. It may be a small thing, but it shows just how much the team and the NFL community cared about Haskins, as his death was an absolute tragedy, which rocked the sports world.

The Steelers begin their season in Cincinnati on Monday, which will see the debut of the sticker ahead of a 2022 season with plenty of promise and excitement surrounding it.
