Rams Wide Receiver Officially Out For Week 1 Against The Bills

Ahead of the 2022 NFL season, the Los Angeles Rams look like the clear favourite, as they've got stars or solid names at every position, but the one that truly separates them is wide receiver, where they host Cooper Kupp, former Bears standout Allen Robinson and young Van Jefferson, who they drafted in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft. In his career thus far, surrounded by overshadowing stars, Jefferson has been a very solid third option, accumulating 69 catches for 1,022 yards and 7 Touchdown's, and after Odell Beckham did not return in Free Agency, his role becomes even more important.

Unfortunately, after off-season knee surgery, Jefferson has been officially ruled out of the Rams opening blockbuster clash against the Buffalo Bills, and while it may sting for Rams fans, it's definitely the smart play, as Super Bowl's for a team this talented certainly aren't won in September.

The Rams have Tutu Atwell, Ben Skwowronek and others waiting in the wings, but with Cam Akers, Darrell Henderson and Tyler Higbee also out there, the defending Champs have more than enough fire power to hang with Buffalo. This is a key year for Jefferson, as he looks to establish the WR3 role as his own, so hopefully he can make it back to the field in the coming weeks and start solidifying himself as a great wide receiver in the NFL.
