Ravens Tackle Officially Out For Week 1

Yesterday, Ravens stud left tackle Ronnie Stanley was absent from practice, and marked as doubtful for the Week 1 clash in New York against the Jets, and today, the Ravens announced that he will miss the opening game of the season. With Lamar Jackson's lack of weapons on the outside, Stanley was going to play a huge role in protecting No. 8 and allowing him to do his thing, but without him, this Jets front could terrorize the Ravens all night long.

Many overlook the Jets line, but with Carl Lawson, Jermaine Johnson and Quinnen Williams among others coming at you, missing an All-Pro caliber player like Stanley certainly isn't what you want to do, especially when trying to keep pace in a tough AFC North will be a 17-week job. The Ravens are still certainly seen as the favourites, but with J.K. Dobbins also unlikely to play in Week 1, it's going to be a very tough game for Baltimore, who have eyes on a Super Bowl run in 2022.

Stanley has been a force for the Ravens since being drafted in the first round back in 2016, starting all 63 games that he's appeared in, and while this injury isn't seen as serious, it's something that Baltimore fans will no doubt be worried about going forward.
