Bears Cornerback Likely For Thursday Night Football

The Chicago Bears, despite their clear lack of faith in Justin Fields have been a very solid team to start the 2022 season, and they carry a 2-3 record into their Thursday Night Football matchup with the 1-4 Washington Commanders, and it's safe to say that most of their success through five weeks has come on the back of this defence, led by Roquan Smith.

That defence will get a boost ahead of tomorrow's matchup, as they have confirmed that young cornerback Jaylon Johnson will be good to go following a quad injury that has kept him out since the Week 2 loss to the Green Bay Packers.

Although Johnson doesn't get the recognition of other young cornerbacks, he's been very good since being drafted in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft, with 24 passes defended and 1 Interception recorded over that time. The Bears defence has been good without him, so heading into a battle with the struggling Commanders, they'll be even more. confident in their chances of getting back to .500 and staying in the NFC North fight for another week.
