Browns Designate Cornerback to Return from IR

The Cleveland Browns could have a cornerback returning to their lineup very soon.

The Browns have designated Greedy Williams to return from injured reserve Wednesday, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
The Browns now have 21 days to either activate Williams or place him back on the injured reserve, which would end his season. Based on the severity of his injury, he's expected to return in the near future, possibly even as soon as Sunday against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Once healthy, Williams will likely take on a fairly significant role in the Browns' secondary.

Last season, the twenty-four-year-old recorded 41 total tackles, one forced fumble, and two interceptions.

The Cleveland Browns are currently 2-2, good enough for first in the AFC North, tied with the Baltimore Ravens and Cincinnati Bengals. Up next is a Week 5 matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers.
