Chargers Head Coach Confirms Star Cornerbacks Injury

The Los Angeles Chargers were taken down in dominant fashion by Geno Smith and the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, but that wasn't the only bad news on the day, as receiver Mike Williams left the game, along with J.C. Jackson, who was declared Out for the rest of the game almost immediately, a very bad sign.

After the game, Head Coach Brandon Staley confirmed that it was a dislocated kneecap for Jackson, and while there's a chance he hasn't sustained a long-term injury, it doesn't look good for his immediate future. The team will have Jackson undergo further tests tomorrow to determine exactly what damage was sustained during the injury, but right now, this is dreadful news for a very talented, but very unlucky Los Angeles Chargers team in 2022.

Limited to just four games thus far in 2022, Jackson hasn't been the standout corner we saw in New England, but if he can get healthy from this injury and return before the playoffs, it would be a major boost for the Chargers. It's hard to give a time frame right now, as the MRI tomorrow will give us more information, but at the moment, it's hard to imagine this not being a serious injury for the Pro Bowl cornerback.
