MRI On Seahawks Wide Receiver Come Back Negative

The Seattle Seahawks left Week 7 holding sole possession of first place in the NFC West, something no one would have seen coming before the season began, but it hasn't all been smooth sailing, as Rashaad Penny was lost earlier in the year, and today, superstar wide receiver D.K. Metcalf went down with what appeared to be a serious knee injury. The team were able to put up 37 points in a win over the Los Angeles Chargers today to get their season record up to 4-3, but now, the team will be sweating on the health of Metcalf, who has been fantastic thus far in 2022.

After the game, Pete Carrol informed reporters that the scans on Metcalf's knee came back negative, which is a good sign, but upon returning to Seattle, he will undergo further testing to determine if he will miss any time going forward.

Through seven games in 2022, DK has 31 catches for 418 yards and 2 Touchdown's, and with the poise QB Geno Smith continues to play with, this team has turned into one of the NFC's most consistent squads, and if they can stay healthy with the emergence of Kenneth Walker at running back, this is one that could be a dark horse in the NFC come playoff time.
