Cowboys Star Listed As Doubtful For Week 8

The Dallas Cowboys are off to a solid start in 2022, with a 5-2 after getting starting Quarterback Dak Prescott back off Injured Reserve, so the last thing this team needs is an injury to a key player to derail their momentum going forward. While it's not expected to be a serious one, unfortunately, the team has suffered a big injury, as star running back Ezekiel Elliot has officially been listed as doubtful ahead of the Cowboys matchup with the Chicago Bears in Week 8.

While they've got Tony Pollard, a more than capable back to fill Elliot's shoes, the last thing Cowboys fans needed was another injury, and even though it's not expected to be a long-term one right now, there certainly has to be a concern any time a running back suffers a knee injury.

Elliot has over 450 all purpose yards on the season to go along with four Touchdown's, and now that the Cowboys have their QB back, they may be in a position to finally make a deep playoff run, but to do that, they'll need Elliot healthy. We will continue to monitor the situation, but with a bye week in Week 9, it makes sense to give the veteran a few weeks rest so that he can be healthy for a solid run in the back half of the season.
