Cowboys Star Misses Second Straight Practice

The Dallas Cowboys welcomed back starting Quarterback Dak Prescott with a victory in Week 7 over the Detroit Lions, sending the team to 5-2 on the young season, and now, they have to deal with another injury issue to a star player, as running back Ezekiel Elliot is missing his second straight practice today with a knee injury sustained in the victory.

The reports still suggest that it's a minor injury, but after two straight days of missing practice, the Week 8 clash with the Chicago Bears at home could now be in jeopardy for the star running back. The injury wasn't severe enough for Elliot to come out of the game on Sunday, so there's plenty of optimism around Zeke, and given the advancements of Tony Pollard, this team would be confident even if they had to lose No. 21 for a week.

Right now though, that's all very premature, but if Elliot can't practice much during this week, especially with the amazing defence and rock-solid offensive line the Cowboys possess, it may be in their own interest to rest him in order to have this team fit and healthy as they look to make a playoff run for the first time in decades.
