Disgruntled Jets Receiver Returns To Facility, Expected To Play In Week 8

All the talk around the Jets this season has been positive, as the team has flown out to a 5-2 record on the back of their amazing young stars like Breece Hall, Sauce Gardner, D.J. Reed and others, but last week, after walking into Lambeau Field and dominating Aaron Rodgers and the Packers to get to 4-2, one young Jets receiver wanted to make everything about himself. That would be Elijah Moore, who the team drafted in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft, and after a solid rookie campaign where he flashed star potential, the team added Garrett Wilson to go along with Moore and Corey Davis, and that has led to less targets for Moore.

There's a right way to go about asking for more targets, but unfortunately, Moore didn't go that route, as he blew up and practice after a Twitter tirade, and then demanded a trade, which Robert Saleh and Joe Douglas obviously aren't going to do, as the second-year receiver has little to no leverage. He was subsequently benched against Denver in the teams victory, but after injuries suffered to Hall and Davis, the team need him back, and today, he officially returned, and is expected to play in Week 8 at home against New England.

It will be interesting to see how everything comes together again, but it appears Saleh and the Jets have been handling themselves well through this, and if they can get Moore back on board without sacrificing what's made them successful in 2022, he can hopefully return and contribute plenty to this young, standout team.
