Eagles Officially Active Tackle From Injured Reserve

The Philadelphia Eagles have started the 2022 NFL season a perfect 5-0, and while that's impressive enough as it is at face value, it becomes an even more amazing start when you consider that one of their starting tackles has been out all season, while the other has missed the past two games with an injury. Jordan Mailata began practicing again this week, signalling that the teams left tackle, who has been out since an injury suffered in Week 3 will be back, and now, the Eagles have officially activated right tackle, Andre Dillard from Injured Reserve.

It's unclear at this point whether he'll start the teams blockbuster divisional showdown with the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, but it's more good news for a very talented team, that is clearly set up for the long haul, with the second Super Bowl in franchise history the clear goal for this team in 2022.

The Eagles drafted Dillard No. 22 overall back in 2019, and he has appeared in 31 games over that span, with 9 starts, so it's safe to say that at this point, Philadelphia could be getting a lot better return for a former first-round pick. There's still time for him to grow, and if he can become a solid starting tackle in the NFL, this team will continue to get better.
