Eagles Tackle Officially Out Against Arizona

There have been doubts over Philadelphia Eagles tackle Jordan Mailata after he was injured in Week 4, playing just 6 of the teams snaps in the win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, and today, the team made it official that he will miss the Week 5 clash with the Arizona Cardinals.

The 25-year old Australian was drafted back in 2018 in the seventh round, and over that stretch, he's played in 33 games, with 28 of those coming as a starter, and while it took time for him to develop and adapt to the game, he's come along nicely, and is now a key piece for this Eagles offensive line. He's been great so far in 2022, but unfortunately, a shoulder injury sustained a week ago will see him miss the Week 5 clash, but thankfully for Eagles fans, it's not seen as a serious, long-term injury.

The Eagles have one of the deepest teams in the entire NFL, so it's likely that they can cover this and continue on their winning ways, but if Mailata, who received a four-year, $64 million deal from Philadelphia before the 2021 season misses significant time, it would be a crucial loss for this team with genuine Super Bowl aspirations.
