Falcons Tight End Misses Practice Due To Injury

The Atlanta Falcons have been a pleasant surprise in 2022, starting the year 2-2 and featuring a very fun offence led by Marcus Mariota, but one of the biggest surprises of the year to many is the lack of production from 2021 first-round pick Kyle Pitts. The Falcons drafted the star tight end of out Florida at No. 4 overall a year ago, and although he didn't put up huge numbers in his rookie year, he flashed greatness and was good for Atlanta, leading many to expect big things from him in 2022.

Unfortunately, through four games, Pitts has struggled to get attention from his new QB, accumulating just 10 catches for 150 yards with 0 Touchdowns, and if Atlanta are to continue competing in 2022, they'll need to get him more involved.

That may be difficult in Week 5, as Pitts was held out of practice on Wednesday with a hamstring injury, and while it may not be considered serious, that is the type of injury that shouldn't be rushed, as it can be aggravated quite easily. With electric running back Corderrelle Patterson out for at least four weeks, Pitts may be getting involved more, but if he also misses time, it's hard to see this offence keeping up the pace they've set through four weeks.
