Steelers Star Safety Misses Wednesday Practice

While there have been plenty of positive surprises so far in the 2022 NFL season, like the fast starts of the Giants, Jets, Lions and Bears, there's also been some huge disappointments, and none more than the Pittsburgh Steelers, who have been losers of three straight games following a Week 1 win over the division rival Cincinnati Bengals. That disappointment was on full display in Week 4, as the team struggled at QB, with both Kenny Pickett and Mitch Trubisky throwing Interceptions, and losing to a Jets team that many believe are below them.

Things don't seem to be getting better either, as Minkah Fitzpatrick, the teams star safety missed practice on Wednesday with a knee injury, and while he has a chance to play in Week 5, any more injuries could be devastating to the Steelers season.

The star safety has made 34 tackles on the year, to go along with three interceptions through 4 weeks, and without T.J. Watt to get to the opposing QB, Fitzpatrick's job has become even more crucial to this team. There's still a good chance that Minkah plays on Sunday, but given how crucial the upcoming battle with the Buffalo Bills is, missing any time will hurt this defence, and if he is to miss the Week 5 clash, it could be the end of Pittsburgh's season.
