Jets Host Former Giants Veteran Defensive Tackle On A Visit

Behind Robert Saleh and an electric group of young players mixed with some savvy veterans, the New York Jets have seemingly turned around this franchise, especially in the court of public opinion, as we've now seen several veterans take team friendly deals to join New York, and if there's any doubt of this, their latest visit is sure to confirm the theory.

Yesterday, the Jets hosted former second round pick Linval Joseph on a visit, and while the defensive line is stacked with talent, having a veteran like this with over 170 games played in their career is always going to be a positive. Joseph was last seen with the Los Angeles Chargers in 2020 and 2021, and while his production has certainly gone down from the early years of his career, he can still be an effective player and a great locker room leader.

It's unclear yet whether Joseph and the Jets can come to a deal, but given that he hasn't had any other visits with teams in recent months, it makes sense for both sides, and if he can play a depth role along this Jets offensive line and give their biggest names some rest throughout a game, it would be a fantastic signing for this young, up and coming squad.
