Packers Receiver A Chance To Return In Week 7

The Green Bay Packers came into the 2022 NFL season with plenty of scrutiny on their wide receiver group, which, after trading away Davante Adams lacked more star power than most teams in the NFL, and six weeks in, the team is understandably struggling, as they've been devastated by injuries to that already under-manned group. This week, they've already ruled out rookie Christian Watson, along with veteran Randall Cobb who was injured in their Week 6 loss to New York, which doesn't equal a recipe for success, even with Aaron Rodgers playing Quarterback.

One positive piece of news is that Sammy Watkins has trained in a limited capacity this week, and if needed, there is a chance that he could get some snaps this week, and with Allen Lazard and Romeo Doubs as Rodgers' top two targets, it would certainly be a huge help.

Watkins was always going to be a risky signing for Green Bay given his injury history, and it came back to bite them early in the year, but if they can get the entire group healthy at the same time, this could be the same, dangerous Packers we've seen before, but for Week 7, the best they can hope for is a healthy, contributing Sammy Watkins.
