Jets Rookie Ruled Out Against Denver In Week 7

The New York Jets are in the midst of their best start to a season since 2015, and while all the talk early in the week was about their star rookies and the performances they put on in order to dominate the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field, but since then, there's been plenty of drama in Jets camp. Elijah Moore became disgruntled and requested a trade from the team, and now, the team's received some more bad news ahead of their Week 7 clash on the road with the Denver Broncos.

Jermaine Johnson, one of four standout rookies for New York will miss his second straight game, and although he hasn't quite put on a performance like Sauce Gardner, Breece Hall or Garrett Wilson yet, he's been productive in the small amount of time given to him. In four games with limited snaps, Johnson has racked up 12 tackles and 1.5 sacks, and in that time, he's shown the instinct and explosiveness needed to succeed at the NFL level.

Unfortunately, after such a stellar performance from the defence in Week 6, Johnson won't be able to play in Week 7, and while his injury isn't considered long-term, it's disheartening to see all the praise for Jets rookies while he can't play.
