Panthers QB Listed As Doubtful For Week 7

In the face of a 1-5 start to the 2022 season, the Carolina Panthers have become a mess, trading away two of their best offensive weapons, while the Quarterback situation has become an absolute disaster for a team that has plenty of talent on the offensive side of the ball. Part of that is the disappointing play of Week 1 starter Baker Mayfield, but with Sam Darnold and P.J. Walker as the other two options, this team just isn't in a position to improve in the near future.

Darnold was just cleared to practice off the Injured Reserve following a pre-season high-ankle sprain, and Walker struggled to move the ball even with Christian McCaffrey and Robbie Anderson on the squad, so at this point, their chances of finding a good backup are slim to none. They may need one of them in Week 7 however, as Baker Mayfield has officially been considered doubtful for the clash with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

It's clear that Carolina have now decided to tank the rest of the 2022 season, and with talents like Brian Burns and DJ Moore potentially on the move, there's a good chance that it gets even uglier, and with no clear solution at Quarterback in 2022, it's going to be bad.
