Jets Wide Receiver Won't Practice Today

The New York Jets, despite being off to a fantastic 5-2 start through seven weeks, have been absolutely devastated this week after losing both Alijah Vera-Tucker and superstar rookie back Breece Hall for the season, but the bad news doesn't end there. Sure, the team traded for James Robinson who will help fill the void left by Hall immediately, but those two weren't the only casualties of the Denver road trip, as the teams leading wide receiver Corey Davis was also injured, and according to Head Coach Robert Saleh, he won't be on the practice field on Wednesday.

With Zach Wilson struggling to get rolling, this team needs all hands on deck at the wide receiver position, and with disgruntled second year wide out Elijah Moore likely to return, getting Davis back would allow this team to try and bring balance back to the squad ahead of a key matchup with the New England Patriots in Week 8.

In 2022, Davis has 19 catches for 351 yards and 2 Touchdowns, despite playing with Joe Flacco at QB for three weeks, and then seeing a rookie back take over for a run-first team, but with Hall now out, this team has a chance to get Zach Wilson rolling, and they'll need Davis to do so. The teams defence has been fantastic in recent weeks, and if they can get Davis, Moore and Garrett Wilson all rolling, this Jets squad has a chance to beat any team, but thankfully for Jets fans, it doesn't appear that Davis' injury is a serious one, as he could return for the divisional clash with New England on Sunday.
