NFL Names AFC Players Of The Week

Week 7 was certainly an interesting one in the AFC, and with many good performances on both sides of the ball, it must be hard for the NFL each and every week to select its players of the week. This week they've done so however, and considering the influence these three players had on their teams wins, it's hard to argue with the fantastic decisions.

Offence: Joe Burrow

The Cincinnati Bengals absolutely exploded in their Week 7 decimation of the Atlanta Falcons, and it was all led by the superstar duo of Joe Burrow and Ja'Marr Chase, who continue to make their case for the most talented QB-WR combination in the entire league. Burrow put up over 500 yards of offence with 4 Touchdowns (3 passing and 1 rushing), and if this team can get on a roll, it wouldn't surprise anyone to see them make another deep run in 2022.

Defence: Sauce Gardner

The New York Jets are one of the NFL's biggest surprise teams in 2022, and while plenty of that can be pointed at the rookie duo on offence with Breece Hall and Garrett Wilson, it's safe to say that at this point, there's no rookies in the NFL performing better than the No. 4 overall pick, Sauce Gardner. He has been one of the best cornerbacks in the entire NFL, and after locking down both Jerry Jeudy and Courtland Sutton, including several key plays down the stretch, it's a deserving honour for a potential Rookie of the Year in 2022.

Special Teams: Randy Bullock

The Tennessee Titans, coming off the No. 1 seed in the AFC a year ago were expected to repeat similar success in 2022, but thus far, the team has just struggled to build momentum, something that every team in the AFC South has had problems with. Week 7 was a perfect chance to do so as they battled the division rival Indianapolis Colts, and with a key 19-10 win over their rivals, including a perfect 4/4 on FG's and 1/1 on the XP from Randy Bullock, he gets a well deserve Special Teams player of the week.
