NFL Rumors: Browns Starting Edge Rushers Could Return in Week 5

The Cleveland Browns defensive line could get back on track in Week 5 following the team's frustrating Week 4 loss to the Atlanta Falcons. According to head coach Kevin Stefanski, the team will have more information on the availability of edge rushers Myles Garrett and Jadeveon Clowney later in the week. Both players were inactive for Week 4. Garrett missed the contest due to a mid-week car accident that resulted in minor injuries. Clowney injured his ankle in the team's Week 2 loss to the New York Jets. Without the two former first overall picks, the Browns allowed a season-high 202 rushing yards and only recorded one sack in defeat. One of the league's dominant pass rushers, Garrett has tallied a remarkable 54.5 sacks over his last 60 games while earning three Pro Bowls and a pair of first-team All-Pros. Perennially one of Pro Football Focus's highest-graded defenders, he should prove an immediate boon for the Browns so long as his accident doesn't result in any long-term complications. Meanwhile, Clowney should fall back into his complimentary role as soon as he's healthy. The three-time Pro Bowler sports 10.5 sacks for the Browns in his 16 appearances for the team.
