NFL Rumors: Patriots Have Received Calls On All Of Their Top Four Wide Receivers

Over the past few days, it has been reported that the New England Patriots have received calls on both Kendrick Bourne and Nelson Agholor, and today, Patriots reporter Phil Perry has confirmed that on top of that, both Jakobi Meyers and DeVante Parker have been receiving interest on the trade market as well.

Currently, New England sit at 3-4 and dead last in the AFC East, a position they aren't familiar with being in, and with two Quarterback's battling for the starting role that aren't proven at the NFL level, there's a chance that the Patriots have no shot at getting back in the division race. They will match up against the 5-2 New York Jets this Sunday, and if they can't come away from MetLife Stadium with a victory, there's a good chance that for the first time in a long time, the Patriots become sellers at the trade deadline.

With little to no elite young talents on this roster, it makes sense if Bill Belichick would want to accumulate draft picks going forward, so if any of these receivers are genuinely drawing trade interest, there's a good chance that New England will act on it. With Bailey Zappe and Mac Jones playing QB, none of those receivers have looked their best thus far in 2022, but for playoff teams looking for cheap options at the deadline, Meyers and Parker would be fantastic choices, so now it all comes down to where New England see their season going.
