Patriots Receiver Ruled Out In Week 4

The New England Patriots are off to a horror start in 2022, with a 1-2 record that could be about to get worse, as they travel to Green Bay to take on Aaron Rodgers and the Packers, and will do so without starting Quarterback Mac Jones, who has already been ruled out for the game. That leaves Brian Hoyer under centre for the Patriots, and today, the news got even worse, as wide receiver Jakobi Meyers has also been ruled out for the game, meaning New England will be missing one of their top weapons.

While certainly not a star in the NFL, Meyers has been very good over the past two seasons, tallying 1600 yards and 2 Touchdown's since 2020, and with the few weapons the Patriots have around their QB's, this is going to be a huge loss in a very tough environment in Green Bay. This leaves the team with DaVante Parker and Nelson Agholor as the teams top receivers, and against a Packers team that's very tough on both sides of the ball, it's potentially going to be a very long day for Hoyer and the Patriots offence.

This likely isn't a long-term injury, so expect to see Meyers again in the very near future, but for a team in a division with the Miami Dolphins and Buffalo Bills, starting 1-3 isn't a very good sign of success, and if the Patriots can't cause a big upset, their season could be very close to over.
