Saints Elevate Running Back From Practice Squad For Week 4

The New Orleans Saints have struggled to start the season well in 2022, going 1-2 through three weeks, and needing a big performance in Week 4 to keep pace in a very competitive NFC South division. Unfortunately, in Week 4, they'll be without their top wide receiver, their starting Quarterback in Jameis Winston, and potentially one of their biggest threats in the backfield, if recent news is anything to go by.

On the eve of the teams battle with the very tough Minnesota Vikings, on top of those other moves, the Saints have elevated Latavius Murray from the practice squad to the active roster, in a move that could be related to the questions surrounding Alvin Kamara, and if he was to miss the game, the Saints would enter the game as major underdogs.

The former star has been in the league since 2014, and accumulated almost 7,000 all purpose yards over that time, paired with 51 Touchdowns, and while he's not considered a star anymore, he can still be potentially effective. This move won't make him a starter, but could earn him valuable minutes if Kamara does miss time, and if that is the case, the Saints will need him to be very effective in order to save their season.
