Patriots Rule Two Players Out For Week 6

The New England Patriots have a tough test ahead of them with a road trip to meet the Cleveland Browns, and with Quarterback Mac Jones unlikely to return from a high-ankle sprain for this one, the last thing that New England needed was more negative injury news. With a lack of weapons on the outside for young QB Bailey Zappe, the team was likely to struggle against the fantastic secondary of Cleveland, but now, the team is without Nelson Agholor, which will make the job even harder for the rookie QB.

Beyond that, the Patriots secondary takes a hit of its own, with veteran Jonathan Jones, who has been with New England since 2016 also declared out for the game, making this crucial clash with their chance to get back to 3-3 that much harder.

The Patriots have struggled to stay consistent in 2022, and with even more injuries piling up, they are in danger of falling even further behind in an AFC East that features 3 teams all over .500 on the season through five weeks. This game is going to be tough regardless, but with Jones already out and now two more key starters out, it's hard to see the Patriots taking down a very talented Browns team in Week 6, despite all of their injuries as well.
