Philadelphia Eagles Release Kicker

The Philadelphia Eagles have gotten off to the best start possible in 2022, with a 6-0 record through seven weeks, and they've accomplished this by being great in all three phases, having one of the most balanced and deepest teams in the NFL, and ahead of the deadline, they have the chance to become the undoubted Super Bowl favourite in 2022.

They were fortunate then to have Cameron Dicker, who kicked perfectly in relief of Jake Elliot, who now, ahead of the Week 8 clash with the Pittsburgh Steelers appears to be healthy, which means that despite his success, the team has now had to release Dicker.

Dicker was a successful kicker at the University of Texas, and as a rookie, he has an impressive and long career ahead of him, especially given all the injuries and struggles that kickers around the NFL have gone through thus far in 2022. The life of a kicker is a tough one, as now, Dicker has to find another job somewhere, but given how consistent he has proven to be throughout his college and NFL career, that hopefully shouldn't be too hard.
