Raiders Planning To Sign Veteran Linebacker To Active Roster

The Las Vegas Raiders have the potential to be one of the NFL's best teams in 2022, but a bad start has them behind the 8-ball, and if they can't get rolling soon, this team could turn into a huge disappointment for the league. With a matchup against the Chiefs on deck, the Raiders need to be at their very best going forward, and while a depth signing at linebacker isn't the biggest potential news for their fans, it could prove very valuable for this defence going forward.

That signing would be former Green Bay Packer and New York Giant Blake Martinez, who is a five-year veteran in the NFL, who has been a very good starter when given the opportunity at this level. He hasn't played since Week 3 of the 2021 season, when he suffered a torn ACL, but when healthy, he can be a solid performer, who's racked up 13 sacks, 5 Interceptions, 16 tackles and 4 forced fumbles, and could give this team the veteran presence they need.

It appears that Martinez will be ready to go for the huge divisional matchup this Sunday, and if he can find his role again with Las Vegas, it could be a fantastic signing for this struggling team.
