Texans To Debut Alternate Helmet In Week 9

Plenty of NFL teams this season have debuted alternate helmets and uniforms, with the Saints, Jets, Commanders and Bengals among the teams to do so, and on Thursday Night in a matchup with the Philadelphia Eagles, the Houston Texans will do the same, debuting the battle red helmets that the team announced this off-season.

The Texans aren't playing the best football right now, but have a few solid pieces they can build around for the future, and after they potentially move Brandin Cooks and other players ahead of the deadline, they may be in line to have several pieces with which they can build around. The product on the field won't change immediately, but the helmets are very good, and if they can continue to improve the team, then things like this will seem a lot more impressive and meaningful.

Houston are going up against a 6-0 Eagles team that they are going to be heavily doubted in, but with these new helmets and some potential new draft capital, the Texans and their fans will at least have a couple of nice things to look forward too this week.
