Bengals Wide Receiver Will Return to Practice This Week

The Cincinnati Bengals should have their young superstar wide receiver back in action in the very near future. Head coach Zac Taylor informed reporters at his Monday press conference that wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase will resume practice this week.

Chase has been unavailable since suffering a hip injury in the Bengals' Week 7 35-17 win over the Atlanta Falcons. He had averaged an impressive 86.4 receiving yards per game in his seven starts this season.

Taylor declined to say whether he expected Chase back for Sunday's crucial AFC showdown with the Tennessee Titans. The two teams faced off in the AFC Divisional Round last year, and the Week 12 matchup could go a long way toward establishing seeding in the AFC at the end of the season. Chase hauled in five of his six targets for 109 yards in the Bengals' closely contested 19-16 postseason win.

The Bengals' fifth overall pick in the 2021 NFL draft, Chase set a rookie record and a franchise record with his 1455 receiving yards last year. His eventual return should propel the Bengals offense back into NFL's elite.
