Cardinals Elevate Two Players From Practice Squad for MNF

The Arizona Cardinals will be fighting for their playoff lives when they face the San Francisco 49ers on Monday Night Football, and they'll have to dig deep into their roster to do it. The team elevated defensive lineman Michael Dogbe and tight end Maxx Williams to the active roster for tonight's NFC West showdown.

Dogbe has appeared in 36 games for the Cardinals since being drafted 249th overall in 2017, making three starts. He has 2.0 sacks and three tackles for loss to his name. He should provide snaps at defensive tackle and defensive end for the Cardinals.

Williams has yet to register a target in four games with the Cardinals this year, but he has totalled 497 yards on 39 receptions in 30 total appearances with the team. He joined the Cardinals in 2019 following four years with the Baltimore Ravens. The former 55th overall pick of the 2015 NFL Draft totalled 497 receiving yards in 42 appearances with the Ravens.

Williams and Dogbe will likely play meaningful roles for a Cardinals team that will try to get by tonight without quarterback Kyler Murray or wide receiver Marquise Brown. At 4-6, the Cardinals will need their lesser stars to come through in the clutch if they want to stay in the playoff hunt.
