Bills GM Confirms Role For Newly Acquired RB Nyheim Hines

He was acquired by the Buffalo Bills at the trade deadline earlier this week.

Bills general manager Brandon Beane stated that running back Nyheim Hines is expected to work in the punt return game Sunday against the New York Jets.

Beane did not specifically say what Hines is going to do in the actual offense, but for now we have to assume he'll be in a split No. 2 role with fellow RB James Cook, as each player offers differing skill sets.
Hines for sure has better pass-catching abilities than either Devin Singletary or James Cook, though neither running back is that bad in the category.

The Bills have mentioned that Hines still needs to get familiar with the team's playbook, so they will most likely ease him into a bigger role moving forward.

In seven games this season, Hines has 36 rushing yards and a touchdown on 18 attempts, in addition to 188 receiving yards with 25 receptions on 28 targets.
