Colts Elevate Two Running Backs To The Active Roster

The Indianapolis Colts have struggled all season long, and despite having an offence at the beginning of the year with Jonathan Taylor, Michael Pittman, Paris Campbell and Matt Ryan, they've struggled to put any kind of consistency together throughout the year. Part of that is due to the Quarterback play, as a change was made ahead of Week 8, but part of it is due to injury as well, as the injury bug appears to have struck yet again, as Taylor has been ruled out of the Week 9 matchup with the New England Patriots.

After trading away Nyheim Hines, this left just Deon Jackson and the newly acquired Zach Moss on their roster, so today, the team made a move to elevate both Phillip Lindsay and Jordan Wilkins to the active roster.

Without Taylor, this team loses a lot of its offensive power, and with a must-win road trip to New England, they'll need Jackson, Moss and likely Lindsay to be at their best in order to keep their season alive. Lindsay hasn't been the same since he left the Broncos at the end of the 2020 season, and has carried the ball just 14 times in 2022, but his veteran presence will be good for this team, especially Jackson, who now has plenty of responsibility on his shoulders.
