Cardinals Confirm The Worst For Tight End

His season is over.

The Arizona Cardinals have ruled out tight end Zach Ertz for the remainder of the 2022 season.
It was originally reported that Ertz had avoided a season-ending injury but would still be forced to miss several weeks. However, the MRI on Monday appears to have revealed significant damage to his knee, knocking him out for the rest of the season.

Ertz ends his season with 47 receptions for 406 yards and four touchdowns on 69 targets.

In his absence, Trey McBride appears to be the candidate to take over the starting role, although Stephen Anderso could also see an increased role for the rest of the season.
