Colts Star Undergoes Season Ending Surgery

The Indianapolis Colts have had a roller coaster of a 2022 season, and after a win in Week 10, they feel like they can certainly bounce back and get back into the AFC South divisional race, but as of today, they'll have to do so without one of their biggest defensive stars.

Shaquille Leonard has been in and out of the lineup this year due to several injury issues, but the main one has been his back, and today, the four-time All-Pro officially underwent surgery to repair his back injury, but unfortunately, it will keep him out for the remainder of the season. The Colts have dealt with injuries all over the field this season, but missing their defensive leader has certainly been their biggest loss, but at 27-years of age, this surgery should have him back in time for 2023 to fulfil all of the talent he's shown in his first five seasons in the NFL.

The Colts currently sit at 4-5-1, well behind the 6-3 Tennessee Titans, but with Interim Head Coach Jeff Saturday getting the team off to a 1-0 record under his reign, there's a chance they can make a run, they'll just have to do so without one of their best leaders.
