NFL Rumors: Steelers Safety Could Return in Week 11

The Pittsburgh Steelers are coming off a 20-10 Week 10 win over the New Orleans Saints defined by the return of pass rusher T.J. Watt, and they could have one of their other defensive stars make a comeback in Week 11. According to head coach Mike Tomlin, Minkah Fitzpatrick should return to action for Sunday's showdown with the Cincinnati Bengals.

Fitzpatrick missed Sunday's win due to an emergency appendectomy the day before the game. He also missed a Week 6 16-13 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers due to a knee injury.

Fitzpatrick is a leader on a Steelers defense trying to stay alive in the AFC. After Watt and perhaps defensive lineman Cameron Heyward, the two-time All-Pro is likely the team's most crucial defender. He has hauled in three interceptions and broken up six passes for the Steelers this season.

At 3-6, the Steelers can still play spoiler in the AFC North with a win over the Bengals this Sunday. They already beat the Bengals on the road in the season opener, and they have two games remaining against the Baltimore Ravens. If the Steelers can hit their stride, they could even position themselves with a shot at the division if they can put themselves in a favorable tiebreaking situation.
