Commanders Rookie Expected To Miss Week 9

The Washington Commanders had a very slow start to the 2022 season, but behind Taylor Heinicke, they seem to have turned it around in recent weeks, and while he may not be back this week, the team may be getting some reinforcements in the coming games. Rookie wide receiver Jahan Dotson had a great start to the year, with 12 catches for 152 yards and 4 Touchdowns through his first four games, but he hasn't played since October 2 against the Dallas Cowboys.

Now, it appears he's begun practice in a limited capacity, but as of today, the team officially ruled him out for Sunday's clash at home against the Minnesota Vikings, but with a good week ahead, there's a very good chance that he can return for next Monday Night's primetime clash with the undefeated Philadelphia Eagles.

For now though, they'll focus on the Vikings, but if Dotson can get back and provide the young Heinicke with another fantastic weapon, and if he can remain healthy for the remainder of his rookie campaign, this team will have a solid piece on the offensive side of the ball going forward.
